We'll now add a menu item to point to the article (regular content item) that we just created. In the Joomla Administrator, choose Menu - Menu Manager.

1. Click on the mainmenu radio button, then

Here's the Menu Manager for mainmenu.

Click on the New button.

Here's the New Menu Item page.

We're going to select Link - Content Item and then click on Next.

1. Enter a menu item Name
2. Select the Content to Link (this will be the content that we just created).
3. Click Save.

The Menu Manager (for mainmenu) reappears. Our new menu item is listed at the bottom.

Returning to our site, we see that our new menu item is displayed.

Clicking on the menu item causes the article to be displayed.

Let's configure a few items on our new article page. Here we are back in the Content Items Manager.

We've selected our new article and clicked on the Parameters tab.

Scrolling down, we'll going to change a few settings.

1. Show Intro text
2. Hide:  Author Names, Created Time and Modified Time

After saving our changes and returning to our site, we can see that the Intro Text now shows, and the author and modified date are hidden.

In the same way as demonstrated in the this tutorial and the one prior to this, we can now add menu items and content for the next two menu items for this site:

• Website Design
• Software

We now have a few items of content added. In our next tutorial, we'll remove all of the default content that we don't need (for example the Joomla! License article).
